Glad to be taking the upside-downers to Delhi. Look forward to returning for the @blrlitfest this weekend! I look forward to returning to the BIC for this session on The Gallery of Upside Down Women! When a book of poems finds its way into the life of someone who understands the importance of 'askewness', it feels like a small victory for the tribe of the Aslant and the Awry...! Chai, poetry, dogs, conversation and Nanda Devi outside the window -- can one ask for more? So glad to be launching the India edition of "The Gallery of Upside Women" -- and particularly happy to be beginning with my city! Friends in New York, would love to see you at the launch of this new book of poems, The Gallery of Upside Women, this Thursday! I'm delighted to be joined in a conversation around the book by poet Tim Tomlinson and Dr Raje Kaur. Here's a novel that trains the spotlight on a long-ignored figure, one waiting to be brought to life. And the historical moment -- a time of metaphysical ferment and debate -- is one that has long fascinated me. "Ajita" by K Sridhar is a book that was waiting to happen..Halfway through and looking forward to the rest! Sometimes, on a quiet retreat, one rediscovers the joys of reading poems aloud!
